2006 VMFL Star Bowl
The CCFA proudly hosted the VMFL 2006 Star Bowl at our home field - Cloverdale Athletic Park
(the artificial turf field).
The two games in this event honoured the best players, in the Midget and Bantam divisions, during league play in 2005.

Artificial Turf

Ribbon Cutting and Opening Mini-Games
The turf opening ceremonies were held in the pouring rain Tuesday December 2, 2003. The event was well attended with Mayor McCallum and other council and commission members, complete with Counc. Gary Tymoschuck in Cloverdale Football gear.
There were speeches and presentations, followed by ribbon cutting and a ceremonial kick off. A mini football game was played by the Cloverdale Atom Cubs with Coun. Gary Tymoschuck as tailback going in for the lone touchdown. Cubs defence came little short in making a big tackle. The first ever touchdown under the lights and on our new all-weather synthetic turf Field!
The CCFA is very proud and thankful to our mayor, council and commission members for providing our youth and the community with this world class multi-sport Synthetic turf field. We look forward to playing, and winning, on our new turf next season.

Good News on Artificial Turf

Thanks to our Mayor, council and the commission members our new synthetic field that is under construction will now be expanded to include 15 yd end zones with the turf being upgraded to the same as the world's best play on!
The good news is we are able to expand the field size now during construction rather than waiting to do it at a later date, which would have been too expensive, if and when allowed, and also inconvenient to other user groups. Our clubs contribution to this expansion is $44,000.00, about 25% of the cost to do it later. The project also includes a new announcer's tower similar to our present tower. Completion date is six weeks from now if the weather permits.
Our children will be playing on the same high quality synthetic field that the NFL, CFL and university teams play on. The new field will be our home field for all home games and practices.
You will see the difference when you come to practice.

Artifical Turf Field Announced

"I am very excited to announce that the CCFA proposal for the location of the new artificial turf field has been accepted. It will be south of the existing grass field, beside our clubhouse. This field will be fully lit and will accommodate both football and soccer. This will solve our need for more practice space, allow us to host night games and eliminate field closures. The field will be similiar to Newton Athletic Park. Construction is scheduled to begin mid-July and be complete for the start of football season in September."
